ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Ilaria Bertuola – Karuna Thai Massage www.thaimassagekaruna.com
I met Thai Yoga Massage for the first time at the Lahu Village in Northern Thailand in January 2011.
Since then, I have immersed myself in it with passion and dedication, mainly studying with several Sunshine Network teachers and with the Italian teacher and osteopath Matteo Lucchini.
The approach I feel closest to includes Osteo-Thai and Dynamic Thai Massage influences. I have been practising Thai Massage as my first profession as a therapist for several years now, and I am grateful to share that therapeutic experience in the teaching.
Daily practice of yoga, meditation and devotion are an essential support to Thai Massage (and to my life!)
I am also a passionate researcher of female spirituality and a women’s yoga therapist. A certain amount of gender specific knowledge therefore runs through my Thai massage classes. This is helpful for male and female practitioners alike.
Our school offers beginners classes level I and II, Dynamic Thai Massage courses, various weekend advanced classes, assisted practices, and days of massage exchange.
I work together with a beautiful Italian-based Thai Massage sangha, KARUNA THAI MASSAGE. I have recently moved to Ireland, where I now live and work.
Born 27-03-1980, Simone holds a Doctor magistralis in tropical and subtropical agri-science, teaches Hatha Yoga and guided relaxation, as well as practicing Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.
Simone began practising Hatha Yoga in Florence in 2002 at the age of 22 with teacher Serena Falchetti (president of the cultural association Namaste). In 2013 he received his teacher training certificate from the same teacher, in the tradition of Giannetto Bencini.
After several years of teaching experience in Florence and abroad, Simone founded the association Pop Yoga in 2016, with the intention of making yoga practice available to all by keeping prices affordable.
He is currently involved in the new One Yoga Academy, working with Simona Conforti and participating as a teacher in the field of teaching methodology.
